Chosen by Apple as a featured example of a successful podcast channel. Each show highlights the unique charism of the host while retaining a spirit and quality that is unique to the Center for Action and Contemplation. 3 of 6 shows hit #1 on Apple’s Spirituality chart. As creative director, I oversaw production and artwork.
Brand Storybook for Aligned Culture
Like many non-profit organizations, the Center for Action and Contemplation’s (CAC) staff is made up of a diversity of people who care deeply about the work. This is a gift, certainly, but it can also lead to as many visions for the org’s future as there are people. As the CAC’s first in-house creative director, I facilitated a brand and language discovery process that resulted in a clarified vision, staff alignment, and a solid future for the organization’s growth after its founder’s retirement.
Dancing the Cosmos Installation
Rev. Dr. Barbara Holmes’ work pushes the boundaries between theology, cosmology, literature, and philosophy. I was asked to design the cover of the second edition of her pioneering work Race and the Cosmos and, as creative director, provide the visual foundation for the book’s promotional campaign. This project required the utmost attention to how the work was to be produced in order to honor Dr. B’s work in every aspect of the campaign.
NYT Bestselling Book Campaign
Universal Christ became Convergent’s (Random House) top seller in its first year and hit #11 on the New York Times Bestseller List within its first month. The promotional trailer was a named an Oprah favorite and featured on Super Soul Sunday. I was creative director for the campaign and website, wrote and directed the promotional trailer, directed the book cover design, and photographed the author.
Architectural Digest Feature
A five-year project featured in Architectural Digest and the Wall Street Journal. I worked closely with lead interior designer at Olson Kundig Architects to design and create three furniture pieces in this home, which includes a wine rack made of leather and steel that holds 400+ bottles and is featured in the glass cellar.
Documentary Film, A Rare Portrait
Internationally acclaimed writer and speaker Richard Rohr has kept his personal life out of the spotlight. YouTube is filled with his lectures and interviews, but until now, nothing of the details of the man behind the teaching has been shared. I pitched, produced, and directed the film and worked as creative director to oversee its release and promotion (2023).
Wim Wenders + Pope Francis
Acclaimed director Wim Wenders contacted the Center for Action and Contemplation for support on his documentary film about Pope Francis, A Man Of His Word. I worked directly with Wim, as a liaison for CAC and Richard Rohr, to affirm the narrative of Saint Francis and discuss the narrative voice as a whole.
Wisdom School Design
Led LMS migration from outdated platform to Canvas, UX/UI design, new course format with audio downloads and short videos for context, on location filming to capture teachers environment and emphasize personality.
Tom Kundig Collection
Tom Kundig’s work celebrates the beauty and life of raw materials. He designed the Tom Kundig Collection to bring these larger architectural elements into objects we interact with everyday. After seeing some of my work in a local magazine, Olson Kundig Architects contacted me to co-design two products featuring hand-stitched leather.
Udemy + Yoga Medicine
After working with world-renown yoga educator Tiffany Cruikshank to launch her first online course catalog, Udemy asked me to produce a featured course with Tiffany, which became a top seller among Udemy’s health courses. Working on-location in Sonoma County, we created a comprehensive course for advanced teachers.
Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame
The executive director wanted their annual festival, ROMP, to become a sold out staple for the industry and a primary funder for the organization’s expansion. I re-branded the festival for a younger audience resulting in sold-out ticket sales.
